Oakland Instrument is pleased to introduce the Model ME-800 Tear Tester. Designed to answer your need for a simple to use, stand-alone, non-instrumented tester, for measuring tear resistance of film, paper, sheet, laminated materials, and converted products.
The ME-800 includes an 800 gram pendulum, manual/mechanical grips (2) for the post and pendulum, an optional Integral Sample Cutting Knife, and additional pendulums and grips.
The system meets ASTM D 1922 and TAPPI T-414 plus applicable International Standards for Propagation Tear Resistance Testing of Plastic Film, Paper & Sheeting.
